 A review of a lecture given by Judge Malcolm Simmons

Judge Malcolm Simmons gave an excellent lecture explaining how cases can be won or lost depending on the effectiveness of cross-examination.  The topics he covered included the purpose of cross-examination, questioning styles, structuring cross-examination, facts v assumptions, witnesses of fact and expert witnesses, admissibility of expert witness evidence, potential dangers of putting questions in cross-examination and how to avoid them and the tactics of cross-examination.

There were many questions from delegates who that includes senior judges, members of the lower courts and leading counsel.

Judge Simmons will repeat this lecture throughout Africa and Asia in 2019.  Further details will follow.
